Dr. Yassee Pirooz had an international upbringing spanning England and Singapore, finally settling in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. She attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree, where she also served as her class president.

While at UVa, she was earned membership to Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Human Biology.

Following college, she taught high school science for several years in Colorado. This experience ignited her passion for teaching and providing a meaningful learning experience for every patient as a pediatric dentist.

Dr. Yassee (as the kids call her) received her doctoral training at Harvard University’s School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. She was awarded the Silver Medal for Scholastic Excellence, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award for promise in the field of pediatric dentistry, as well as several other academic and performance scholarships. 

She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, the area’s top ranked children’s hospital, where she gained experience treating children of all levels of medical and dental complexity. 

Dr. Yassee is passionate about practicing patient-centered care with a focus on prevention and strives to make every visit a fun and positive experience.

In her free time, Dr. Yassee enjoys visiting Lake Tahoe, painting, and learning new languages.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry..
