Dr. Marlena Adamczyk is very excited to be joining Pediatric Dentistry of Brooklyn! Dr.Marlena completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Georgia earning membership to Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University and continued on to receive her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University.
In her specialty training, Dr. Marlena had the opportunity to care for children with special healthcare needs, medical complexities, and craniofacial conditions. In addition, she received training in full mouth dental treatment under general anesthesia and emergency dental care.Dr. Marlena is passionate about global outreach and volunteer work. She has traveled toThailand to promote oral health knowledge and provide dental care. Dr. Marlena researched shortfalls in dental knowledge and helped bridge these gaps to improve oral health outcomes in underserved communities.
Outside of work, Dr. Marlena loves to try out new food in the city as well as cook new recipes at home. She loves learning new languages and is always practicing her skills in Spanish and Polish.
Dr. Marlena values the significance of meaningful patient relationships and the importance for children to have positive experiences at the dentist. She is an active member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and New York Country Dental Association.
