Dr. Jessica Lavery is a native New Yorker who loves living and working in this exciting city she grew up in!
Dr. Jess attended the University of Scranton where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Philosophy, with a minor in Biochemistry.
She then received her doctoral training at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. During her time at Stony Brook, Dr. Jess received several awards including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Award for the student who shows promise in this field.
Dr. Jess completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, the area’s top ranked children’s hospital, where she gained experience treating children with different special healthcare and dental needs. During her second year, she was chosen to serve as Chief Resident.
She serves as an Assistant Attending at NYU Langone Hospital, where she works in the School Health Program to help ensure that healthcare is accessible and convenient for all children and families throughout New York City.
Dr. Jess is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association and attends national and local meetings regularly.
Dr. Jess really appreciates all types of music and in her free time, attends many concerts and Broadway shows!
